Class of 2013, BAH Economics

Previous Testimonial / Next Testimonial

When I came to Acadia, I was originally enrolled in another program. After taking an economics course, I knew almost immediately that it was what I wanted to major in. Taking even one course will let you know what economics is: coming out of high school, I had a lot of misconceptions about what, exactly, the subject was. Even if you have an entirely different university plan in mind, trying a class will at least straighten out the buzzwords you’ve heard about the subject.

The economics program at Acadia is one of the most close-knit departments on campus. This is what made my education unique to any I would have received anywhere else. It is never an issue to stop in for a question or a chat with a professor. Staff go out of their way to help you, and it’s something I’ll always appreciate. Compared to others I’ve heard about, my experience with the economics department was special, and it’s what helped me achieve my honours and a higher gpa.
