Economics Students Win Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre’s Start It Up! Competition

Two Economics majors were part of the winning team at the Start It Up! entrepreneurial competition hosted by the Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre in December. Team Highway 101 pitched a mobile produce market idea called "The Bus," which would sell produce that would otherwise be rejected by retailers at a reduced cost to customers.  Gillian (Economics), Emilia (Economics & Environmental Studies), and Alisha (Community Development & Environmental Studies) took home the $6000 top prize for their business idea.
